Think you’re good at following instructions? Moose Master is a hilarious party game where the rules are ridiculous, the challenges are unpredictable and one little mistake could cost you!
Keep your eyes open, your ears sharp and whatever you do, don’t break the Moose Rules!
🎯 The Aim of the Game
Complete challenges, follow the Moose Rules and collect as few penalty cards as possible!
Players: 3+
Playing Time: Approximately 30 minutes
🃏 Getting Started
- Separate the cards into three decks: Moose Master Cards, Moose Rules and Penalty Cards.
- Shuffle the Moose Master deck and place it face down.
- Choose 2 Moose Rules and place them face up where everyone can see them.
- Put the remaining Moose Rules aside and keep the Penalty Cards within reach.
- The player with the best laugh goes first!
▶️ How to Play
- On your turn, draw a Moose Master Card and read it aloud.
- Follow the instructions on the card. Some involve quick reactions, silly challenges or special powers.
- Everyone watches for mistakes!
- The last player to complete a required action, or the first to make a mistake, receives a Penalty Card.
- Continue clockwise, drawing cards and completing challenges.
Remember: The two Moose Rules stay active throughout the game, even when you’re not taking your turn!
🫎 The Moose Rules
At the beginning of the game, two Moose Rules are chosen that everyone must follow.
For example:
- 🚫 You can’t say the word “No”.
- 🤫 You can’t call anyone by their first name.
If someone catches you breaking a rule, you receive a Penalty Card!
Stay alert — even the smallest slip-up can get you into trouble.
⚡ Special Moose Master Cards
Some cards introduce special challenges or powers!
- 🫎 Moose Master: Use moose antlers (hands on your head) to avoid a Moose Rule penalty. But another player can steal your title if they catch you first!
- 👍 Thumb Master: Place your thumb on the table whenever you like. The last player to copy you gets a penalty!
- ❓ Question Master: Ask other players questions. Anyone who answers without responding with another question gets a penalty!
- 🗣️ Echo Master: Choose someone to repeat a particular word whenever you say it.
- 🐒 Copy Cat Master: Choose someone who must copy a particular action whenever you perform it.

🏆 How to Win
There are two ways to play:
💀 Elimination Mode
Collect 7 Penalty Cards and you’re out! The last two players remaining win.
🏅 Fewest Penalties Mode
Play through the entire Moose Master deck. The player with the fewest Penalty Cards at the end wins!
For Houseblend, we’d recommend Fewest Penalties Mode so everyone can keep playing and enjoying the chaos!
Remember: In Moose Master, nobody is safe from the rules — especially the person laughing the loudest!
