Fox in a Box is unique in Australia in how we run and look after our customers playing the games. All of our room puzzles are designed for adults. Each room is fitted with 8 x 4K security cameras, studio quality microphones, a 200 Watt sound system. All of this is fed back to our centralised control room where our Game Masters are watching and listening to you play your game.

The Game Master will provide assitance and hints when required but never give the game away. Their job is to make sure you have a great time no matter if you are a novice or experienced player. View this page on What to Expect

All our rooms can take between 2 and 6 players. However, if you choose Prison Break Head to Head (2 identical Prison rooms) or Bunker Head to Head (2 identical Bunker rooms), then up to 12 people can share the same experience and race against each other to see who escapes first

Due to the size of our venue we can take any number of adults playing different rooms up to a maximum of 66. If you are having a kids birthday party for more than 45 you will also have exclusive venue use.

Our lounge area seats up to 66 people and we have a licence to sell a range of bottled Beer, Cider, Wine and Pre Mixed drinks for you to enjoy before or after your game. We also offer a range of non alcoholic drinks as well as bottled water and a range of snacks. You can also set up a bar tab or pay individually by EFTPOS

Please allow sufficient time either before or after your game for drinks. Please note, due to our licence, we are unable to serve players alcohol within 10 minutes of your game start time.

We are located in the heart of Hindley Street, in what used to be the old Greater Union Cinema complex. The Terrace on North Terrace car park is right next door and we’re surrounded by Adelaide’s best restaurants, pubs, and nightclubs—making us the ideal launchpad for a full evening of fun.

If you wanted a relaxing dinner afterwards, there are some great restaurants nearby, esepcially in Peel Street, a short fine minute walk. If you’re planning a more adventurous night out, there are plenty of pubs and nightclubs to choose from in Hindley Street. Either way, Fox in a Box is a great place to start your birthday event.

No! Our escape rooms are designed for adults of all ages from 18 upto 80. Compared to more passive entertainment options like cinema or bowling, escape rooms offer a deeper level of engagement and great social interaction. You’re not watching a story unfold—you’re living it. While some of our rooms require some slight physical activity, many focus on cognitive skills, communication and team work, making them a great choice for all ages.

Most of our rooms are suitable for wheelchair users but please call us as some of our rooms such as Prison, Bunker, Mastermind Heist, Wild West Saloon and Zombie Lab are more suited than others. People with disabilities may fully enjoy our games but we ask that you call us prior to making your booking so that our staff can make appropriate suggestions and make any required alterations to your game to ensure a seamless experience.

Pregnant women may also enjoy our games as they are not physically challenging and there are no fear factors involved (it’s all in the mind as they say !) Also, there are seats in all rooms if a team member needs to rest for a while. Please call us to check the requirements if you are unsure.
